3. We have audio-visual equipments
We have all the necessary equipment you need to deliver a powerful presentation: DVD Camcorder, Laptop, LCD Projector, Powerpoint, Live Digital MP3 Recording, Flip chart, overhead projector, white boards, etc.
We even have a DVD video camera! After every session, you can take home a dvd of your presentation to review privately on your own, thus allowing you to continue the growth and learning of this program beyond the immediate group experience!
4. We have a mentorship program
Maybe you want an experienced toastmaster to give you some extra help. No problem! We’ve created an extremely powerful mentorship program specifically for our new members.Each new member who joins our club will be assigned a mentor (if they choose to). Your assigned mentor works one-on-one with you. You can pick their brains, you can ask them for feedback, or maybe you just need someone to encourage you.
Bottom line is all the mentors are excellent speakers and they are more than happy to help you out.
5. The atmosphere of our club is friendly and supportive

to create a positive, fun environment for our members. We firmly
believe that learning should be fun and
dynamic.
I know speaking to large
or small groups is intimidating for many people. At Metro Speakers, you will
have an opportunity to learn how to successfully formulate, express,
and sell your ideas and yourself in a non-threatening environment. Practicing in a safe environment
allows you to develop your confidence and get rid of that nervousness
you feel when called upon to speak. Negativity has no place
in our club! That is why our members love it!
6. Our meeting room is very accessible regardless of your mode of transportation
We meet Thursday evenings from 7:00 - 9:00 PM in the Community Room of Metropolis at Metrotown shopping mall (460 - 4800 Kingsway, Burnaby, BC, V5H 4N2). The Community Room is located within the shopping mall on the 4th floor (also known as the Office Galleria level) right above the Sears department store. The shopping mall is accessible via skytrain (Metrotown station), bus (Metrotown hub), and is only 15 minutes drive from downtown Vancouver. There is plenty of free parking.

7. We have sufficient number of club members
With thirty plus members, MetroSpeakers has members from around the world with different cultural backgrounds. Members represent all sorts of professions and talents. What a diverse group … Mexican managers, Indonesian travel agents, Canadian lawyers, Indian computer programmers, Chinese accountants … you get the idea.
MetroSpeakers members are all ages, all cultures, and all levels of public speaking abilities, from first time speakers to seasoned professionals. Here is a safe place to practice and learn and develop your unique personal style.
